About
I am a child of God, a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, and a wife.
I have always loved painting and drawing. I began producing art in her early 20s, but, as with many avocations, life interrupted. With everything that comes with raising a family, I pursued several careers to pay the bills. I was a hairstylist for many years and, for the past 20 years, has worked as an accountant. After moving to Texas, I pursued my passion for art full-time, she paints with oil, pastel, and watercolor.
Two years ago I was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer, so my artistic pursuits took a bit of a hiatus. Recently I have been doing a lot of new techniques and work with more color. My work includes several commissioned portraits. I really enjoy putting my touch into portraits of children and animals
My work has been accepted into several juried shows in Texas, including Art Corridor in Austin and Round Rock Arts “Imagine”. I am a member of the Lost Pines Art League and have several pieces at Elgin Local Goods and The Clever Tiger.
This show features my love of color and mixed media. I am creating from my heart and not my brain. This is hard for an accountant.
